The mandatory Risk 2 (Skidpan) training for cars
Experience different situations during the skidpan driving in Risk 2
At Bromma Halkbana, the instructor is in the car to lead discussions that arise and to provide extra security and safety for you as the driver. This is appreciated by our students, partly for the security as we can intervene if needed, but also because we can give direct feedback and answer questions that arise during the drive.
The purpose of the Risk 2 training is for participants to experience various situations in a group to discover both their own and the vehicle’s limitations. Afterwards, they discuss the causes and connections with others in the group to figure out how different situations can be avoided.
Key elements of your Risk 2 (Skidpan) training
At Bromma Halkbana, you will truly experience your Risk 2 (Skidpan) training – a practical and educational day that gives you insight, understanding, and control behind the wheel.
Here you will feel what it’s like to drive in difficult conditions, understand how quickly risks can arise, and learn how to avoid them in real life.
HOW RISK 2 WORKS
Become a safer driver with Risk 2 – practice, reflection, and safety in focus
Risk 2 begins with an oral review in our training room regarding the goals of Risk 2 training and the safety procedures to be followed.
After the initial review, it’s time to head out to the skidpan and complete the practical part of the training with an instructor.
Once the skid driving is completed, discussions will deepen around important topics we cover together:
- How speed and one’s own behavior affect different traffic situations.
- What possibilities one has to manage an emerging crisis situation.
- Consequences of overestimating one’s ability.
We then conclude with discussions about risks and how they can be minimized, as well as how to use seatbelts and airbags correctly. Another important part covered is how to place cargo in the car, how to adjust the driver’s seat and headrest, and the importance of tires in various road conditions.
